Trama: Il 14 novembre 1965 l'esercito americano si scontrò con quello Vietcong in una battaglia in cui quattrocentocinquanta paracadutisti americani che avevano invaso il territorio nemico nella Eye Drang Valley, un posto conosciuto in Vietnam come "Valle della Morte", furono circondati da 2000 soldati vietnamiti. A mettere per primo piede sul campo per guidare i soldati statunitensi nella battaglia, in cui gli episodi eroici sono stati numerosi, fu il Colonnello Harold Moore.
