Trama: Un ingegnere e un poliziotto impegnati contro sismi e alluvioni.Stuart Graff è un ingegnere sposato ma legato sentimentalmente a una giovane attrice, Denise. Lou Slade è un poliziotto sotto inchiesta. Le loro esistenze si incontrano il giorno in cui Los Angeles viene sconvolta da un disastroso terremoto. Insieme si adoperano nei soccorsi ma, quando tutti sono stati tratti in salvo, cede pure una diga e la metropoli viene sommersa dalle acque. Robson ha dato il meglio di sé in gioventù, prima come montatore per Orson Welles e poi come regista di film impegnati. "Terremoto" è il suo penultimo film: catastrofico con effetti speciali visivi e sonori.
